The role of the Deacons / Deaconess is to serve / minister to the needs of the congregation and give instructions to new members / disciples of Jesus Christ .  The Deacons / Deaconess are under-shepherds who are responsible for nurturing and uplifting the physical and the spiritual lives of the congregation. Deacons / Deaconess provide prayers for those who are sick, shut-in or in need during and after Sunday worship service.  The Deacons / Deaconess deals with an assortment of social, economical and spiritual concerns and assist the community at large if needed.
