The role of the Deacons \/ Deaconess is to serve \/ minister to the needs of the congregation and give instructions to new members \/ disciples of Jesus Christ . The Deacons \/ Deaconess are under-shepherds who are responsible for nurturing and uplifting the physical and the spiritual lives of the congregation. Deacons \/ Deaconess provide prayers for those who are sick, shut-in or in need during and after Sunday worship service.
